Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Plag Check (“the Service”), operated by DoMyWork (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

DoMyWork operates Plag Check, a pay-per-use originality and AI-detection report service. If you have any questions about your data or wish to exercise your privacy rights, you can contact us through our website.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to deliver your report:

  • Your uploaded document, used solely to generate your report.
  • Your email address, used to deliver your report and a receipt.
  • Your first name, used to personalise communication.
  • Your WhatsApp number, only if you choose to provide it (optional).
  • Payment information, which is collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, collected automatically to operate and secure the Service.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • generate and deliver your report;
  • take payment and provide a receipt;
  • respond to support requests;
  • protect the Service against fraud and misuse;
  • meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your uploaded document for any purpose other than producing your report.

4. Legal basis for processing

Where the data protection laws of the UK, the European Union, or similar regimes apply to you, we process your data on the following bases: to perform our contract with you (delivering your report), to meet legal obligations (such as tax and accounting), and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service. Where we rely on consent, such as for an optional WhatsApp number, you may withdraw it at any time.

5. Your uploaded document: deleted immediately

Your document is processed only to create your report and is deleted immediately after the report is generated. We do not retain it, we do not store it in any database, and it is not added to any repository or used to train any system. Once your report is produced, your document no longer exists on our systems.

6. Third parties we share data with

To run the Service, we share limited data with trusted third parties who process it on our behalf:

  • Detection providers, including Turnitin. Your document is transmitted to third-party detection engines, including Turnitin, solely to perform the similarity and AI-content analysis that produces your report. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Turnitin or any other provider. Their handling of data transmitted for analysis is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
  • Payment processor. Our payment provider processes your payment and card details securely. We receive only confirmation of payment and limited transaction information.
  • Email delivery provider. We use an email service to send your report and receipt.

We share only what is necessary, and only for the purposes described here.

7. International data transfers

We provide the Service globally, and the third parties above may process data in countries other than your own. Where data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected in line with the data protection laws that apply to you, including the use of recognised safeguards where required.

8. Data retention

  • Uploaded documents: deleted immediately after report generation.
  • Email, name, and transaction records: retained only as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal and accounting obligations, and handle any support or disputes, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

9. Your rights

Your rights depend on where you live. We honour the rights available to you under your local law, including the following.

  • United Kingdom and European Union (UK GDPR / EU GDPR):you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and the right to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK or your national authority in the EU.
  • United States (including California): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
  • Canada (PIPEDA): you have the right to access and correct your personal information and to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
  • Australia and New Zealand: you have the right to access and correct your personal information and to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our website.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. The immediate deletion of uploaded documents is a core part of this: because your document is not retained, it cannot be exposed in the future. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data at every stage.

11. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to operate the Service and keep it secure. If we introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and seek your consent where required.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always appear on this page with the “Last updated” date.

14. Contact
